1. Service Description
Remove Your Ex ("the Service") is a web application that uses AI technology to remove people from photographs. You upload a photo, describe who to remove, and our AI processes the image to produce a result with that person removed.
2. Account Terms
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Credits & Payments
- The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each credit allows you to process one photo.
- Credits are purchased through one-time payments. There are no subscriptions.
- All purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits do not expire.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Prices are listed in USD and may be updated at any time. Existing credits are not affected by price changes.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Process images you do not have the right to use or modify.
- Create misleading, defamatory, or harmful content.
- Harass, stalk, or intimidate any person.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or exploit the Service.
- Upload illegal content or content depicting minors.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.
5. Intellectual Property
- You retain ownership of the photos you upload.
- You own the processed (output) images generated by the Service.
- By uploading images, you grant us a limited license to process them solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.
- The Remove Your Ex name, branding, and website are our intellectual property.
6. AI Processing Disclaimer
The Service uses AI to process images. Results may vary and are not guaranteed to be perfect. AI-generated results may contain artifacts, imperfections, or unintended alterations. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- Results are generated by AI and may not always meet your expectations.
- We do not guarantee specific outcomes for any image.
- The "retry" feature is included at no additional cost and may produce different results.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for how you use the processed images.
8. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- All your uploaded and processed images will be deleted.
- Any unused credits will be forfeited.
- You will lose access to the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of the State of Illinois.
